My Friday night was probably the best time I've experienced in a long time. I went to Jose Peppers with Charlotte, Brooke, Jillian, and Mallory. At one point the waiter was recommending the fajitas, but I told him I don't like fajitas. For some reason, Charlotte found this hilarious and spit her mouthful of water across the table at Brooke. We were in stitches for a couple minutes after that! My Saturday was nothing compared to Friday night. I had to babysit a bunch of kids for my neighbor's work party and it was funny to see all these kid's antics.

Since I plan on being a psychologist when I'm out of college, I should probably being taking classes that specialize in human interactions, reading body language, and perfecting techniques that help people be able to trust me. I wouldn't need to take any math classes and I might need some science classes since some mental disorders can by caused by chemicals in the brain. Anatomy and Physiology and Chemistry could be possible courses for me in college. I'll be needing to take Clinical Psychology, Psychology, Sociology, and Statistics. When I'm in college, I can focus on taking courses that are important to my career choice and not worry about classes that don't apply to my major.

Color can convey a lot of emotion when it comes to designing anything from a product to a website to an advertisement to a logo and so much more. What do you think the importance of colors on a website are? What is a color scheme and why is it important to have when designing? Explain any thoughts you might have around color in design.

You need a color that describes the mood of the website. If you're building a website for a massage company, you're going to want soothing colors like baby blue and light yellows. If you're building a website for a circus, you want loud and bold colors that make your eyes flit across the page like bright reds and royal blues. Color scheme is where you're using a theme a colors that flow well together. They're important because you don't want your audience to think that your business is worthless because you can't even fit good colors together.

Think about the quote above. What does this mean to you? How could this apply to your life? How could this apply to your school work (especially Web Design!)?  I would love to give you less work in class if it meant you were going to focus harder on the work. Do you think you would get more out of it? Would that work for you? Why or why not?

I'm not very good at analyzing quotes, but I'm gonna say this quote is about creating a new mind space that is specified for your work. This mind space is full of focus and determination and making you aware of what needs to be done. Sometimes it's harder for me to find that mind space, but I really want to make it accessible. to myself. It's always been super hard to focus on something that I need to get done so I would like to find a way that works for me.

My weekend wasn't very eventful. On Friday, Kennedy, Brooke, and I went to the varsity basketball on Friday. Our seats were stolen by a rude group of people, who even after we asked them to give us our seats back said no, so we sat all the way up at the top with some of Kennedy's friends that Brooke and I didn't know. I also got Netflix this weekend so I watched a lot of Friends episodes. On Sunday, my grandparents drove to our house from Belton, Missouri, and spent a couple hours with us. Finally on Sunday, I just relaxed and watched everyone live-tweet the Grammy's.

What's the coolest thing you've learned in this class so far this year? Now that you have a little knowledge, what do you want to learn that you don't know how to do yet?

I really liked learning how to make our links a different color other than purple and apply different fonts to them. I want to learn how to put a video on my website and have it play without leaving the page. I don't have that much knowledge on websites, but maybe I could figure out how to make my pictures change on one page per five seconds like a slideshow.

Tell me all about your Sweetheart weekend (even if you sat at home on the couch!). Include photos!

This weekend I had a volleyball tournament in St. Joesph. We were at the university from seven-thirty in the morning to seven o'clock at night. My team ended up getting third place out of nine teams and I was proud of our playing that day. But when we were about to leave, it started to snow and the road were really dangerous to drive on; we even saw a couple cars that went off the highway on our way home! We didn't make it home until eight-thirty that night.
